Eggs. Finally.

So. We've had a total of 12 chickens in the last year and ended up with none. We have no luck with raising them from babies. So we bought some grown laying hens recently from a super nice man that needed to get rid of some of his chickens. I've got to say that I'm pretty excited!

We got our first eggs today. Cooper opened up the Coop and his eyes were glowing and he smiled and said "it's a miracle! Thank you Jesus!" And at that moment, I knew it was all worth it. The frustration of keeping lights on babies, building a make shift coop, losing them to dogs, and buying more and transporting them. Kregg, I don't know how much money I've spent on chickens the last year but THIS was so worth it!

We even have different kinds so that we get different colors!!!

He dyed some eggs for Easter with gram but now I'm thinking we don't need to at home...just visit the coop!

It's the little things in life.
