Cowboy Vocabulary

You know, I thought when cooper was tiny that I'd never like any stage better. I was wrong. Seems as if every day he becomes so much more fun!

Lately, as his vocabulary grows he is just plain funny! Some things he says:

Elephant, Cow (of course), Horseeee, Eat!, Cookie, home, shoes, boots, toes, ears, mouth, eyes, tummy, daycare, bottom, dog, shirt, chair, jesus, cross, fish, blankey, binky, baba, night night, truck, tractor, dirt, giraffe, pig, duck, sheep, water, apple, slide...the list goes on and on. And these aren't just repeating us-he uses these on his own. So of course when the pediatrician asked at his appt last month if he says at least 10 words I laughed :). Oh and he knows NO! Very well :)
(Leave it to my kid to talk a lot)

But here are some funny things

We say "what's papa say?" And he said "Hey Cow!! Hey!!!" Because of the days spent at the cattle lot sorting cattle.

We say "what's grandad say?" And he says "come bosssss!!" Because that's what grandad says when he's sorting cattle.

We say "what do cows eat?" And he says "Hay!" We say "what kind?" And he yells "ALFALFA!!!" (Thanks to family in Barton county for teaching that)

And now he talks about alfalfa all the time when he sees grass or hay. South of highway 54 nobody knows what he's talking about :)

"Pffffffffff..elephant.....Dake!" (With his hand up like an elephant bc blake taught him what elephants say so he says blake at the end)

"Morning sunshine!!" Thanks to Gram for teaching him that.

"Cows poop?? Elephant poop???" Well...because we are talking a lot about bathroom matters to plant some seeds for potty training so of course everything poops he's decided.

Here's a few pics from this morning that I had to share.

Oh and here's one from after we fed cows :(

Cooper was leaning on daddy's door watching him w a bale and kregg didn't know he was leaning and he opened the door and mama couldn't grab him fast enough. Scared all three of us. Daddy caught him of course but not before he bonked his eye on the door.

Accidents happen so quickly! Reminded us again today.
