Oh how my heart was tuned today! Tuned to sing praises because this night could have been filled with much sorrow but because of His grace it's full of joy.
Hauling cattle today we were hit, or we hit someone however it is said. Kregg handled it like a champ. Cooper was securely snug in his car seat, thank you Jesus. And Papa watched it all from the truck behind us.
Had it happened one second earlier we may have very killed the man that pulled out in front of our semi moving 70mph. I can't imagine the grief we would feel tonight if we had done that. Luckily he walked away and so did we, with only minor damage to both trucks.
Like my study said this week, sometimes our heart needs tuning. Sometimes we need reminding of his streams of mercy that is never ceasing.
Today was one of those days.
You don't think you may take someone's life one day when all you were planning to do was haul cattle. Luckily we didn't.
But what you do sometimes get is second chances. And I'm so glad I serve a God of second chances. Sometimes it takes things like this to restore your heart to where it needs to be, calling for songs of loudest praise.
